Footloose Dance Company Footloose Dance Company was founded in Glasgow in 1987 by Gillian Stewart and Katie Arthur. The Company, although started on a small scale, has grown over the years due to high quality teaching and inventive choreography. Katie relocated to Alva, Clackmannanshire, thirteen years ago and runs her own successful school. She can be contacted on katie-arthur@tiscali.co.uk Footloose Dance Company, under the direction of Gillian Stewart, has grown from strength to strength and classes can be found in the following areas; Rutherglen, Burnside, Toryglen, Oatlands, Greenhills, Strathaven and Coalburn. For the past 21 years we have passed all B.A.T.D. examinations with flying colours - a 100% pass rate! Quite an achievement, I'm sure you'll agree. We have classes in Ballet, Broadway Tap, Modern Dance, Stage, Freestyle, Hip-hop and Street, Majorette, Dance Twirl, Cheerleading, Salsa, Mambo, Merengue and the new Latino dance style to hit the scene - Jazz Club Latino. We can also offer 'first dance' classes to couples who want to make that extra special effort for their wedding day. You can either be taught a dance from a film that you feel will capture the day for you (More than a Woman from Saturday Night Fever, Time of my Life from Dirty Dancing, etc) or we can choreograph a dance specifically to your requirements.
